Bangladesh on Monday recorded 5,717 new infections and 117 deaths from coronavirus or Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

As of now, the country saw 25,399 deaths from Covid-19 and 14 lakh 67 thousand 715 cases.

A press notification issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed this information on Monday.

The country saw tests of 36,789 samples during the 24 hours period.

The positivity rate slightly rose to 15.54 percent from 15.16 percent on Sunday in the country.

The death rate was recorded at 1.73 percent.
